Super Heros Night....
Friday night was a night to remember with Heroes and
fairytale characters coming from all around the mystical lands, some travelling
as far as Springfield just to enjoy the taste of some of Duff mans home brew
down at the Bonny Dome.
Rumours were confirmed when Radioactive man arrived hand in hand with Dorothy and a nice little rock attached to her left finger. They seem to be extremely happy but Dorothy is still coming to terms with the new arrangements and still believes there is no place like home.
Long time couple Spiderman and Snow white were once again looking stunning as they always do. There was a little accident where Snow White claims to have had her drinks spiked by the wicked witch, causing head aches and losing her voice the following morning. Spiderman is enjoying the peace and quiet.
Newly couple Superman and Cat Women were looking quiet relaxed and enjoying each others company. Only until Cat women caught Superman with the white Rabbit on the dance floor, which can only be described as horizontal dancing. The White rabbit later stated that he got caught up in the moment and forgot about his very important date. Cat women found comfort in the arms of Alice. Reports tell us cat women has since forgiven Superman and that they are back on track.
Cat the Hat went stag but it wasn’t long before his charmed kicked in and had his heron of fairies surrounding him just hanging on his every word and seems that he has no urge on settling down. After revealing his newly created dance moves, which can only be described as poetry in motion.
As the night progressed things only blurred with all
female characters becoming quiet wild and misbehaving. What thought to be
the end of a good night was interrupted when most of the Characters still
wanted to let down their capes and let loose. What better then to having a
drink with the local civilians down in Frankston at the local watering hole
Ha Penny.
The fans loved it! Between Superman getting on stage with the band and supporting
them in his favourite song “Kryptonite” and Cat in the Hat cutting
a rug on the dance floor it was a night for the locals to reminisce. With
some wondering wether or not their minds were playing tricks on them.
All in all it was a great night and we look forward in seeing more of our fairy tale friends down to join us at our next conversion.
Once again the players at Bonbeach were left digging into their pockets hoping to find enough change to buy a dirty spring roll from the train station. After another long day at the races!
The foam esky’s were packed and the hip flasks were strapped, as the
team made there way down to the Caulfield track. It wasn’t long before
the teams class slowly decreased as the day progressed.
It wasn’t long before the champagne bottles were being necked and the
single lads were off looking for a filly to call there own.
It’s a fair enough assumption that none of the guys saw a horse on the
track after Midday but that didn’t stop us from becoming the bookies
new best friend.
They were more than happy to empty our pockets. I don’t think there
was one collect for the day. Most of us have come to the realisation that
we have no idea about horse racing and that we should give the punt away and
stick to what we’re good at. Drinking in Juan!
By the end of the day if it wasn’t bolted down it was being thrown. All the packed lunches that the girls prepared had gone untouched and ended up as ammunition. Foam eskies were smashed over team mates heads.
